Northern Lights

Northern Lights Strain by Barney?s Farm Northern Lights is a pure indica strain with Thai and Afghan origins, featuring 26% THC with sweet citrus, earthy, and pine aromas. It delivers relaxing and euphoric effects ideal for deep rest. Grows indoors at 90-110 cm, yielding up to 550 g/m?. Northern Lights produces the classic indica appearance, compact, bushy growth, and extraordinarily dense cone-shaped buds, which have made this variety world-famous. Purple-hued tones enhance the visual appeal of these compact, heavy flowers, lavishly covered in a heavy coating of trichomes, giving the buds a frosted look and a sticky feel. Northern Lights’ terpene profile conveys an old-school cannabis character that defines quality genetics. Classic earthy scents prevail with their distinctive pungent quality. Fresh pine notes add a forest-like freshness, and subtle spice elements complement this traditional aroma. The taste delivers authentic indica satisfaction with legendary character. Sweet citrus notes lead the experience, followed by deep, earthy flavours that ground the palate. Pine elements add a natural freshness to this classic flavour profile, which has satisfied cannabis enthusiasts for decades. Northern Lights offers the ultimate indica relaxation that has made this strain legendary. Its calming effects settle in smoothly, fostering a sense of euphoric happiness and contentment. Sedative qualities emerge gradually, making this strain perfect for evening use and deep, restful sleep. The yield and quality of Northern Lights can be enhanced through training methods such as Low Stress Training (LST), which involves bending stems to increase light exposure and bud sites, and High Stress Training (HST) techniques, including topping, fimming, and supercropping, to promote bushier growth and stronger branches. The Screen of Green (ScrOG) method is suitable for limited spaces, as it spreads branches to capture better light. Pruning and defoliation improve airflow and concentrate growth on buds, while mainlining combines topping with LST for uniform results. Monitoring environmental conditions and allowing recovery time between training sessions helps Northern Lights achieve optimal yield and quality. Northern Lights strain plants grown indoors typically reach heights of 90-110 cm and produce yields of approximately 550 g/m?. When cultivated outdoors, these plants can grow to 150-200 cm and yield up to 750 g per plant. Indoor flowering usually finishes within 55-60 days, while outdoor harvests are generally ready during the third or fourth week of September.
